The Elegance at Hershey
The Elegance at Hershey is a celebration of a bygone era when the automobile stirred our imaginations and quickened our hearts
The Elegance at Hershey will bring the finest of race cars and show quality collector cars of the pre-World War II and immediate post-World War II period together for a weekend celebrating the automobile.
The Elegance at Hershey is so much more than a celebration, it is also about causes. Raising funds for charity is the ultimate point of this event; JDRF, the AACA Museum, and AACA Library & Research Center will benefit.
Friday & Saturday, June 7-8, The festivities commence with The Grand Ascent, a vintage hill climb exhibition in the European tradition, where drivers pilot some of the finest historic race cars up the historic back road to The Hotel Hershey®. Modeled on similar events such as England’s Goodwood, and paying homage to ongoing events such as Mount Equinox and Pikes Peak, The Grand Ascent appeals to enthusiasts and curious spectators alike.
The Grand Ascent is sanctioned by the Vintage Sports Car Club of America (VSCCA) & members get first preference for the available slots.
Grand Ascent at Hershey General Eligibility Requirements: Any and all VSCCA cars with VSCCA logbooks are always eligible. All later year cars are approved on a case by case basis. All cars and driver equipment must conform to the VSCCA Safety Regulations (at a minimum).
All other questions in regard to the hill climb may be directed to Steve Moskowitz at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling.
Sunday June 9th, The event reaches a crescendo of the weekend, The Elegance. Modeled after the finest concours in Europe and America, The Elegance is a genteel garden party featuring the world’s finest collector cars, arrayed around the classically manicured gardens of The Hotel Hershey®. Car owners, hotel guests, and those who appreciate automotive history, gather for a day of mutual admiration and relaxed camaraderie.
