Grundy Insurance Congratulates 61st Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance Best of Show Winners Peter and Merle Mullin More than 225 Collector Cars and Motorcycles from 14 Countries are Showcased During Competition Along California’s Monterey Coast A 1934 Voisin C-25 Aerodyne owned by Peter and Merle Mullin from Los Angeles was named Best of Show at the 61st Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, sponsored by Grundy Insurance. The event was held Sunday August 21, on the 18th fairway of Pebble Beach Golf Links. Competitors from 30 states, the District of Columbia, 14 countries and the principality of Monaco brought their prized automotive possessions to California's Monterey Peninsula for judging in 29 classes. In the end, Mullin’s French-made Voisin was judged the best, a particularly gratifying achievement for Mr. Mullin, a self-described “French car guy.” Grundy’s Agreed Value No-Surveys-Required Insurance Policy has taken the Classic Boat World by Storm. Visit our Insurance Experts at the Grundy-Sponsored ACBS Annual Meeting and International Boat Show in Lake Geneva, Wis. Next Month Grundy’s insurance program for classic boats was completely custom-tailored for sailors by Jim Grundy, Jr.-- a serious boat collector, life-long sailor and insurance expert. As more boat owners learn about the superior coverage that Grundy offers, the unique insurance program (that doesn’t require a marine survey) continues to grow, exponentially. While the Grundy family is recognized as being collector car enthusiasts and the first to write Agreed Value insurance on antique vehicles, Jim Grundy is equally as dedicated to the classic boat hobby as he is to collector vehicles. When Grundy could not find insurance underwriters that would give him Agreed Value coverage or replacement cost on the engine of one of his own boats, he formulated a special Agreed Value policy for classic boat enthusiasts, like himself. That’s Bananas! --- Grundy Insurance Protects the “Big Banana Car” which is will Soon Make its Way around the Globe Imagine that you are stopped at traffic light, and out of the corner of your eye, you catch a bright yellow, larger-than-life motorized banana rolling up to the side of your car. What would you think? In August 2011, residents of Horsham, Pa. were delightfully surprised to see Steve Braithwaite’s Big Banana Car driving on local streets, en route to the Grundy Insurance office. A huge banana on wheels is simply not something that you see every day; however, on a sunny and hot August day, it is precisely what we saw at the Grundy Agency. Braithwaite brought his Grundy-insured “art car” to our office to discuss his insurance coverage and to ask questions about taking the collector car overseas; he plans on taking a round-the-world (RTW) trip in the car, during the Spring of 2012.
We want you to understand the importance of properly insuring your collector vehicles, and we know that insurance lingo isn't always easy to understand.
