Jimmy Johnson and Joe Salerno have been interested in the automotive hobby since they were both 16 years old—that’s 26 years for Jimmy and 47 for Joe.
Between the two hobbyists, they currently own a variety of specialty vehicles, including a 1931 Plymouth Deluxe Roadster, 1946 Plymouth 4-Door Sedan, 1937 Rolls Royce Sedanca Limo, 1930 Packard 745 Dietrich, 1965 Corvette Convertible, 1968 427 Big Block Corvette Convertible, 1930 Model A Convertible Pick-Up, 1934 Ford Pick-Up, 1960 Chrysler Windsor Convertible, 1936 Auburn Boattail Speedster and a 1988 Mercedes Benz Convertible.
And, their passion goes far beyond simply collecting. They have coordinated the Wildwood Classic Car Auction, Presented by Greater Wildwood Hotel & Motel Association & BCI, which will be held September 20-23, 2007 at the Wildwoods Convention Center, 4501 Boardwalk in Wildwood, N.J. The auction will be led by
one of the world's top auctioneers, Scott Adcock.

The auction coincides with the
14th Annual East Coast Boardwalk Classic Car Show, held on the boardwalk on those same dates.
Jimmy says that the car-collecting duo has been trying to put on such an auction for the past three years, with hopes of a successful show and good turn out.
“And, our demographics with the boardwalk and beach make for a perfect venue,” he adds.
