Grundy Worldwide would like to congratulate Anthony and Valerie Lacaria for their win at the Carlisle All-Chrysler Nationals car show, last month.
The Lacaria’s 1957 AMC Metropolitan took home First Place in the B098 DAIMLER/CHRY RELATIVES DOMESTIC & FOREIGN class.
This was the couple’s third win at this annual Carlisle event, over the last four years.
“Our previous was our 1956 Imperial, in 2003, and our 1972 AMC Javelin, in 2005,” said Anthony.
Anthony’s wife, Valerie, explains that the couple started their hobby together, over seven years ago, and that it has been “a great ride ever since.”
She says that Anthony has always been a car guy, and in 2000, hebegan looking for a 1956 Imperial, similar to the car his father owned during his childhood. Anthony found his dream car, and the couple started their journey in the collector car hobby.
Since their first purchase, the Lacaria’s have collected a total of 12 specialty vehicles, including a 1961 Imperial, 1961 Imperial LeBaron, 1967 Imperial Convertible, 1956 Dodge Pick-Up and a 1969 Thunderbird, among others. |
The passion for this hobby has also infiltrated into the hearts of Anthony and Valerie’s three sons, who are all in their 20’s. The family attends car shows regularly.
Valerie says that her favorite part of the hobby is feeling as though she’s been “transported in time to a different era,” when she goes to these events, and adds that it’s a “joy and journey to get there.”
She says that the family loves meeting people who are just as crazy about cars as they are. Valerie adds that she cherishes some of the amazing friendships that she and Anthony have developed during their time involved in the car hobby.
Once again, Congratulations!
