Grundy: Giving You What You Want and Need...

Dear Friends of Grundy,

Established in 1947, Grundy Worldwide has been servicing and preserving the collector car hobby for more than 60 years. As the creators of “Agreed Value” coverage, Grundy paved the way for providing collectors with the insurance they need for their specialty vehicles. Since day one, we have insured your vehicles for what we (that’s you and us) agree your car is worth.  And, in case of a total loss, you, the car owner, receive that amount—no questions asked. In addition to Agreed Value coverage, we have consistently offered low rates and outstanding claims service, over the years.

Always providing the same great service, Grundy has been noted as the first and finest in the industry. And, today, we offer more than would could in the past. Our Agreed Value policies include unlimited mileage, no model year limitation, inflation guard and auto show medical reimbursement. We also offer options for trip interruption coverage, along with towing and labor costs. We know that the serious collector needs serious coverage.

In addition to knowing what our customers need, we also know what collectors want.  As hobbyists ourselves, we want to provide more than just your insurance. We set off to unite hobbyists with hobbyists, connect car guys with car guys and assist clubs in promoting their events to help keep the hobby thriving.

Throughout the years, Grundy’s staff has attended hundreds of car shows, cruise-ins and auctions, both indoor and outdoor. In 2008, over 60 shows and auctions will be visited by Grundy representatives from our corporate office. At these shows, we like meeting with our current customers, in addition to quoting car insurance for future clients. Grundy often sets up a designated lounge area at the trailer, where reps will sit and chat about cars with fellow hobbyists. Quickly our exhibit space can become a hang out for car guys to get to know other car guys. The company also displays Grundy-insured vehicles at our space from time to time—often cars that are featured in the company’s advertisements or posters.

Which brings us to our advertising. Grundy loves to feature our customers’ cars in our ads, as we insure some of the finest.  We often hold contests in which we collect photos of cars we insure. The winning vehicles are then displayed in advertisements that are splashed throughout publications like Old Cars Weekly, Deals on Wheels, the Goodguys Gazette, Sports Car Market and other collector car magazines, bulletins and newspapers.

Currently, we are looking for cars in the Philadelphia region that could be used during an upcoming photo shoot for our advertisements and a new poster series. If interested, please send photos to marketing@grundy.com.

In addition to our participation in shows and inviting our customers to show off their cars in our advertisements, we also started a one-of-a-kind newsletter for hobbyists, by hobbyists. In August 2006, Grundy’s marketing department launched the Grundy Weekly Reader.  This e-newsletter reaches thousands of collector car enthusiasts each week. Today’s newsletter is the 100th issue. That’s 100 issues of showcasing our customers and their vehicles and informing our readers of upcoming events and news. We are always looking for more stories and welcome submissions from all. If you are interested in being featured in the newsletter, e-mail newsletter@grundy.com with photos and a little bit of the history behind your ride.

We would also like to learn about various car clubs throughout the country and help our customers find them. The most recent addition to our Web site is an online car club directory.  When browsing through the directory, clubs are separated by state, so it’s easy to find clubs in your region. To have your collector car club listed, please submit the following information to marketing@grundy.com: club name (for public view), estimated club membership (for public view), a link to club Web site (for public view), club description and a contact name, e-mail address, mailing address, and phone number.

Grundy enjoys helping our customers, not only by providing the best coverage in the collector car industry, but also through the opportunities to reach out to fellow hobbyists that are provided through our marketing efforts.

Please let us know how we can help you! And, thank you for your continued business.

Sincerely,

The Grundy Marketing Department
