Horsham, PA—[April 3, 2006]—Fresh out of the shop and making its first appearance in a collector car show, a colorful 1957 Ford F100 total custom pickup truck gained admiration by attendants of the First Annual Mid-Atlantic Rod & Custom Show; fans of the truck included the event’s industry celebrity guest and legendary hot-rod builder Boyd Coddington.
The truck, painted in eye-catching House of Color orange and purple flake, was displayed at the Grundy Worldwide booth. Collector car aficionados marveled at the vehicle, while receiving insurance quotes from members of the Grundy staff and conversing with the builder of the car, Anthony Cantagallo of Little Ant’s Customs, a shop based in Williamstown, NJ.
Along with the satisfaction of gaining a positive crowd reception, Cantagallo was pleased to learn that he was rewarded the Young Builder award at the show. The owner of the vehicle, Grundy Worldwide’s own underwriting manager, Chuck Wasoski, was more than satisfied with the work done by Cantagallo and his team.
Wasoski said he entered the venture of customizing the old vehicle with hopes of making an ugly truck into something beautiful, but he holds special pride in this truck because it’s not a regularly seen or popular truck.
“You won’t see any around like it,” said Wasoski.
But now you can see this one-of-a-kind Ford at car shows across the nation, as it will accompany Wasoski, as he travels with the Grundy team to upcoming events, including the East Coast Boardwalk National Car Show in Wildwood, NJ, Goodguys American Rod & Custom Show in Hershey, PA and the Carlisle All-Ford Nationals in Carlisle, PA. You can learn more about these shows on the Grundy Worldwide calendar, located on www.grundy.com.
