CUSTOMER TESTIMONIAL: One of the things that all of us who have classic cars, with hours of passion and sweat invested, worry about is: "If I have an accident, will the insurance company give good service, as they advertise?” Well, let me tell you that you folks at Grundy are tops in my book. I called on a Monday… and, I received a settlement check in about 8 to ten days, following my initial contact. I am telling all my gearhead friends about your great service. Thanks for being there.

Grundy Insured Announced "Timberland Pro Homebuilt Heaven National Winner "

2/16/2007 8:23:33 AM

From Good-guys.com:

The true essence of a hot rod home-builder was captured this year when El Paso, Texas' Jerry Haley and his bright orange 1933 Chevy 5 Window were named Goodguys/Timberland Pro 2006 Homebuilt Heaven National Champion! Not only did Haley build the beautiful street rod at home by himself, he also had to build a carport before he could start building the car!

The entire build was done outdoors at his El Paso residence in his newly built carport - a carport which required him to lay 60 feet of concrete.by himself! The car was never put inside until he and his girlfriend Carmen Quiroz drove it back home after the 2006 Southwest Nationals in Scottsdale.

No stranger to hot rod projects, Haley has built 11 hot rods from scratch over the years. His first rod was a hemi powerd '32 Ford 3 window coupe he drove to high school!

The '33 Chevy 5 window project was a little slow to get started simply because it took him a year and a half just to find an original '33 5-window to work with. He then set out on his year and a half odyssey doing everything on the car by himself outside in his little carport except for the body and paint. Is that true hot rod spirit or what? Stay tuned to the June 2007 Goodguys Gazette for an amazing inside look at Jerry Haley's hot rod.

The Timberland PRO Homebuilt Heaven award, now in its 4th year, is designed to honor a homebuilt hot rod, custom, muscle car, trick truck or street machine. Haley's '33 Chevy was chosen by online voters from all twenty 2006 Homebuilt Heaven finalists. For his handiwork, Haley will receive a special trophy courtesy of Timberland Pro as well as a $1,000 spending spree on Timberland.com.

Timberland PRO is a division of The Timberland Company. The Timberland PRO series delivers high-performance work shoes that provide comfort, durability, and protection. To view their full line of products, point your browser to www.timberland.com
